This is Yuyun as I first saw her. The first thing that I noticed about her was her beautiful hair. This was immediately followed by her beaming, genuine smile. I didn't think that she was ravishingly beautiful but she WAS cute and I enjoyed taking a few photos of her.While we were walking she took my hand and I felt a little pulse of excitement. In spite of this, because of the age difference, I didn't really think that she could be interested in me so, after a short while I said goodbye. A few days later, while I was driving with my friend Ali, she called him and told him that she liked me and asked why I hadn't called her. I was a little surprised but arranged to meet her and we spent a few hours just talking. This was achieved with the aid of an electronic translator, pen and paper. In spite of this, we managed to communicate quite well and I realized that we had a similar sense of humour. She was such terrific company that I saw her every day for the next week. We were becoming really good friends and that was all that I expected. A few days later, we were sitting in a cafe and I asked her what things she really liked. She wrote "Aku suka bunga, aku suka kucing-kucing dan aku juga cinta kamu." I took the translator and went to work..." I like flowers, I like cats and I also love you." I could hardly believe it! She told me that she wanted to marry me! I know what you are thinking. She wants to marry me just to get out of the country right?...Wrong! As a matter of fact, Yuyun had no desire whatsoever to leave Indonesia and up to now has never even visited the UK. She didn't even possess a passport. So I bought a new two bedroom house for us for £6500. I was due to leave in a couple of days on an unchangeable ticket but promised to return in three months. However, after one week I missed her so much that I took the next flight down there and married her!
